There is a common misconception that apprenticeships are just for young people but the reality is that you can apply for an apprenticeship at any age.
What is an apprenticeship?
An apprenticeship education programme is an integrated work based training and development programme designed around the needs of the employer which develops the knowledge, skills and behaviours of the apprentice and ultimately leads to a nationally accredited apprenticeship qualification. The apprenticeship programme consists of both theory and practice, so much of your learning is developed in the workplace with off-the-job training, assessment and pastoral support provided by our in-house training team, a work based mentor and your manager. Apprenticeship Standards are verified externally via an end point assessment process.
